Historical City tour

Zanzibar used to be the business centre of East Africa, trading in spices, ivory and slaves. It was ruled by the Portuguese, the Arabs and the English. The old town is a maze of narrow streets with a lot of interesting historical buildings like the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Palace, and the former Slave market. Apart from the scooters and mobile phones you may feel that you are taking a walk in the past.

Sunset walk along the boulevard

Make a walk around the boulevard just before sunset. Zenji Garden Cafe at Forodhani Gardens is the perfect place to sit and relax while enjoying a fresh prepared smoothy. You can watch the chefs prepare for the night food market. At high tight boys will dive into the water.   Enjoy a magical sunset with traditional dhows on the background.
