Zanzibar used to be the business centre of East Africa, trading in spices, ivory and slaves. It was ruled by the Portuguese, the Arabs and the English. The old town is a maze of narrow streets with a lot of interesting historical buildings like the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Palace, and the former Slave market. Apart from the scooters and mobile phones you may feel that you are taking a walk in the past.

Dhow Sunset Cruise
Step in a local dhow vessel, relax and sail away on a magical sunset cruise. The dhow leaves Stone town in the late afternoon and takes you along the coast. The bustling sounds of the Stone town crowds grow faint in the distance until it seems as if they are only in memory.
Behind the Swahili Scenes
This tour will take you to two different markets and the recycle workplace Chako. The tour start with a visit to Darajani market in Stone Town, which will be followed by a visit to the much bigger Mwanakwerekwe market by local transport (dalla dalla).
